I grew up with a lot of emotional and mental abuse. I have a successful life, good physical health, and a good career that has allowed me to afford amazing life experiences, but not being able to enjoy these experiences has been a sort of torture of its own. In the last year, I have uncovered trauma healing modalities that have provided reasoning for the lack of joy in my life. I hope to be able to provide modalities and tips for navigating health to save you time on your path to recovery. By sharing my experiences, I hope to help shorten other people’s timelines for experiencing joy.
First of all, you are not crazy; you have experienced “crazy” things, and your brain is responding normally to those experiences.
In these posts, I’ll speak from my experience of 17 years of off-again-on-again therapy, covering what worked and what I wished I had done sooner. Regardless of the level of situations that someone is dealing with, there will be something beneficial for you on this blog, even if it’s to learn about someone’s experience with a modality you haven’t considered yet. I am still progressing through my healing, and in the last year, I have made more progress than in the 17 years of on-again, off-again therapy. This has inspired me to write about the experiences I’ve had. On these pages, you’ll find true experiences with therapy processes, developing faith, and tips for getting the most out of both of them. My experience has been with emotional and mental abuse and extreme physical trauma events, I’ll use these events and focus on the processes I’ve found to start resolving these traumas. I’ll provide tips and tools for making the process easier and the science to make healing feel achievable. Congratulations on starting (or continuing) to pursue joy. I hope that this blog shortens the timeline for resolving your traumas.
